Visted this restaurant for the first time- for my birthday, with family. Had a very welcoming, chilled atmosphere and a great place to spent time with family/friends over good food, drinks and conversation! ;) It was my first try of Persian food, and I must admit it left me quite impressed!...

We have visited Pomegranate following few recommendations and we were very satisfied. The food is fresh and the taste is outstanding. Restaurant is very clean and atmosphere is very welcoming. The decor is authentic with beautiful mosaic lamps and music is lovely and very relaxing. It is well worth a visit. We will be back soon!!

I came to eat at your restaurant last Wednesday night. The food was excellent, portions just right and great value for money. I had the warm roast vegetables with feta cheese, balsamic and pomegranate dressing and i can honestly say it was one of the nicest starters I've ever had. Thank you all at Pomegranate.

Went to this little restaurant recently with friends. Had not pre booked, but on a busy friday night we were quickly seated. The service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the prawns to start, delicious and light, no heavy greasy sauces in sight, served with warm persian flat bread, wonderful. My main meal was the chicken and lamb kebab, it is cooked on a skewer but not served on a skewer, chicken and lamb cooked to perfection, tender and juicy.... It came on a large serving platter with an abundance of fluffy rice, beautifully fresh salad (not swimming in oil) and grilled vegetables. I felt like i was holidaying in the med for a moment. With 2 soft drinks, my bill came to £20.00. The restaurant is very intimate, warm and glowing, lovely soft candle light and a really nice low key atmosphere. The staff looked after us very well indeed. All in all, we had a lovely relaxing, calm evening meal. Had i looked at this restaurant on trip advisor before i went i probably would have not chose to dine there because i did not know what persian food was? Let me tell you, if you like clean food like i do, i.e, chicken, not breaded or deep fried in a sauce you will love pom, if you enjoy lightly grilled vegetables and beautiful fresh salads, prepared and presented beautifully you will love pom... If you need chips and ketchup with your meal, dont chose pom... It was a really nice experience, try it, i love persian food now....(Visited October 2012)

Thank you to all at Pomegranate for making our Silver Wedding Anniversary Celebration lunch last Sunday a special occasion. Delicious food, excellent service and a relaxed atmosphere. Some of our guests were sceptical about the menu being Persian but all thoroughly enjoyed what they had chosen. Again, many thanks.

When we first came across Pomegranite, it was at West Fest, the West Didsbury Festival where they had a stall. It wasn't the best way to try it, as they had to prepare big dishes which sat around during the day of festivities, but when we tried it the other night, the meal was really superb.
They make a lot of use of pomegranite, both fresh ,and in sauces, and walnuts, again, in sauces and for crunch. The dishes I chose were subtle, sumptuous and beautifully prepared.
My young son, aged nine, would not have liked those, but his lamb dish was tender, moist, flavoursome and without any of the pepperings and strong over flavours that can put children off. He ate the lot and declared it his favourite restaurant.
I always feel restaurant reviewers who claim to be too full for a dessert don't deserve being paid by their editors. Sadly, I had a meeting, and we really didn't have time for dessert, but there was a whole range, and I felt they'd be as good as the mains.
This is a fine little restaurant. Spotless, friendly staff and when my father and a friend visited on recommendation the following week, both reported back how good it was too.
Not cheap - but then why should it be - and a fraction of the over-priced city centre joints serving largely mediocre fayre. Definitely one to try.

Superb food and decor. The best Persian restaurant in South Manchester. Absolutely loved it. Fesenjoon was excellent. 5 stars for food and service.
